The Golf Performance Center is an athletic performance center motivated to enhance the development of an athlete. We believe that movement is a fundamental requirement in any athletic endeavor. It is one’s ability to make the most consistent and efficient movements that determines and affects the result of the action. By creating a thorough assessment of the 5 Elements of Success, we are better able to understand an athlete and their unique “blue print”. The 5 Elements of Success are essential in a developmental environment and consist of: a player’s desire and skill set, individualized coaching, the body’s ability to perform the correct action, mental capacity for competition or change and the right equipment for the task.
After determining the athlete’s strengths and deficits we can create solutions that allow the athlete to train properly to reconstruct inefficient body motion habits and to form proper kinetic sequencing or efficient body motion habits, allowing the athlete to improve from the “inside” out. Building from the “inside” out is important because without stabilization, there cannot be efficient power, speed, balance and rotation. All of these are important to be able to perform at peak levels with a lesser risk of an injury. Therefore, this is how we train our athletes. Much like building a great house, you must build a solid foundation first!
